Volatile criminal Barbie Kardashian has said she expects to be arrested soon – and doubled down on threats made to four people.
Kardashian (23), who identifies as female and legally changed name from Gabriel Alejandro Gentile, walked free from Limerick Prison on Wednesday, and was recorded making murderous threats.
Now the dangerous criminal, who served five years in prison for threatening to rape and kill her own mother, has revealed she’s now living in Dublin – and expects to be arrested over the new threats.

She told the Irish Mirror: “I’m expecting to be arrested at some point. When, obviously I don’t know but I am expecting to be arrested imminently. Maybe it’s good that I’m meeting with my probation this morning because maybe he will be able to give me further information as to what the view of the probation services is in relation to the threats that I made.”

Kardashian said she did not enjoy prison, and realises she will likely be returning there – and be held accountable for her new threats. “Prison completely destroyed me, being locked in a prison 22-23 hours a day, completely destroyed me. But I guess just to re-iterate what I said on Wednesday, I kind of felt that like prison kind of prevented me from carrying out the urge to hurt the people, from carrying out a desire to hurt the people that I want to hurt.

“A life sentence would just kill me. I couldn’t even cope with five years in prison, never mind how many years. Presently I feel anxious about being out in public because I don’t trust myself not to commit violence.
Kardashian’s horrific remarks have already seen the Irish Prison Service offering support and security measures to those affected – as well as issuing a formal complaint to gardai. Pointed out to Kardashian that she was admitting to wanting to carry out criminal offences, she responded: “Essentially yes. My position hasn’t changed from what I said on Wednesday.”
She also boasted that she is enjoying the attention.. “I mean I think there’s also I enjoy media attention so I think it will get attention. I am being genuine in what I’m staying, I’m not trying to mislead you or anything.
“No, no it’s genuine, it’s genuine, I would describe myself as a troubled young girl, a troubled young woman. I’ve said this to previous psychologists, previous psychiatrists. I said it to a lot of people while I was in Limerick Prison. These aren’t just conversations I’ve had with the media.”
Put to her that she will likely be going back to prison, Kardashian seemed accepting that this was the case. “I think that it would be a matter of just maybe accepting responsibility for my actions. I think in a situation like that I would just have to accept responsibility for my actions.
“I think it’s reasonable, obviously if I am charged with the threats I have made that would be a breach of my bail conditions because obviously one of the conditions of my probation is not to commit any further criminal offences. So if I am charged with another criminal offence that would be a breach of my probation conditions. In that event I probably will be recalled to prison to serve the suspended part of my sentence. I think it’s one year,” she said.
Asked if she had any remorse for causing four people distress with her new threats she said: “Pride instead of remorse.”
Speaking about her new life in Dublin, Kardashian said she has already been noticed on the streets – and she is enjoying the attention.
“Some people have noticed me. For example I was on Moore Street on Wednesday evening and someone was like oh you’re Barbie. Oh you’re famous now, can I have a photo with you to show my friends? I love being recognised, like it’s just amazing. I love the attention, it makes me feel famous. I wish more people could recognise me, I wish I was mobbed in public, I would just love that so much. I love it.”
Gardai said officers in Limerick are aware of Kardashian’s prior comments made on Wednesday. “An Garda Síochána in Limerick are aware of the remarks made. As a matter of policy, we do not comment on statements made by third parties. No further comment will be provided at this time,” a garda spokesperson said.

In a statement to the Irish Mirror, the Irish Prison Service said that such threats are taken very seriously – and that staff who are subjected to them are offered support.
“Any act or threat of violence against a prison officer is unacceptable. Any criminal act carried out including assaults or threats on a staff member, are reported to An Gardaí Síochána for investigation and prosecution. Staff who are subject to an assault or threat are given the necessary supports through the employee assistance programme,” they said.
“Section 19 of the Criminal Justice (Public Order) Act 1994 as amended specifically provides for assaults or threats to peace officers including prison officers acting in the execution of their duty. Any person who assaults or threatens to assault a peace officer in the execution of their duty is guilty of an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine or a term of imprisonment not exceeding 12 months or both or on convictions on indictment to a fine or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 years or both.”
Kardashian was jailed in 2023 for five and a half years with the final 12 months of her sentence being suspended by Judge Tom O’Donnell at Limerick Circuit Criminal Court. The court heard from gardai who said they continue to have “grave concerns” about Ms Kardashian’s “motivation to carry out the threats”.

Detective Garda Niall Fitzgerald of Roxboro Road Garda Station, Limerick, gave evidence that Gardai believe Ms Kardashian continues to “pose a significant threat to those she has made threats towards, as well as to the wider public”.
Kardashian had 15 previous convictions including for threats to kill, sexual assault, assault causing harm, assault, and causing criminal damage to property. The court heard that her original name was Gabrielle Alejandro Gentile, and that she later changed her name by deed poll to Barbie Kardashian.
In 2020, Ms Kardashian was granted a gender recognition certificate by the Department of Social Protection, in recognition of her identifying as female. Judge O’Donnell noted the defendant, who was born male but identifies as a female “is unrepentant” about wanting to kill her mother.
The judge said she set out her plan in “chilling” detail – in that she said she was going to wait in the house until she had satisfied herself her mother had “bled out” and no longer had a pulse. So concerned about Kardashian being released into the community Judge O’Donnell requested the probation services offer him advice “as to what the future might be for the accused”.
Some of the major concerns of the report are that the accused is unrepentant about their threats to kill or cause serious harm to their mother. The (report) concludes the accused is at high risk of not just re-offending but also about committing serious crimes,” the judge said.
“The major concern to this court is what is to happen to this accused once any sentence that might be imposed is concluded. The authors of the reports feel it is incumbent on the State services and associated medical services to get involved and try to come to some long-term solution.”
Acknowledging the court’s concerns, Kardashian’s barrister noted there should be some form of post release care plan and “housing” supports put in place to meet his client’s needs.
“What to do? I’m not a doctor and I’m glad I’m not in the position you are, Judge, but this is a young person who have verbalised threats and wanting to go further (with it),” Mr Nicholas said.
