rr BREAKING NEWS: Cowboys WR George Pickens on teammate Dak Prescott: “I don’t see the hate that he gets. He’s a cool dude. He makes great plays. Quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys. I don’t know what there’s not to like.”
George Pickens was brought in to Dallas this year to be a complementary receiver to CeeDee Lamb, but his role has changed now that Lamb is out with an injury. Pickens is coming off one of the best games of his career last week against the Green Bay Packers, as he finished with eight catches for 134 yards and two touchdowns.
He has quickly developed great chemistry with star quarterback Dak Prescott, who is playing the quarterback position as well as anybody in the league.

Pickens has seen from the outside where Prescott has received a lot of criticism over the years, but the receiver doesn’t understand any of the hate he gets.
“I don’t see the hate that he gets. He’s a cool dude,” Pickens told reporters. “He makes great plays. Quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys. I don’t know what there’s not to like.”
During his time in Pittsburgh, Pickens showcased the type of potential that screamed franchise No. 1 wide receiver. At times, he looked as good as nearly any receiver in the game. However, there were concerns about him as a teammate, as well as his work ethic in reaching his potential.
He is in a contract year this season, where he is showing not just the Cowboys, but the rest of the league that he is capable of earning a big payday.
It is still early in the season for Dallas, but so far, the return on Pickens has been fantastic. He currently has 21 catches, 300 yards and four touchdowns in the first four games. The touchdowns are currently tied for third in the league, while the yardage ranks 11th.With Lamb still a couple weeks away from coming back, Pickens still has the opportunity to continue to develop that rapport with Prescott. If Pickens is able to continue to play at this level and the Cowboys get Lamb back, then Dallas has the ability to score with nearly any team in the NFL.
Dallas will be in action in Week 5 on Sunday at home against a New York Jets team that is 29th in the league in points allowed (121). The Cowboys defense gives up 132, which is 31st, so look for a high-scoring game with big plays.
