ROBERT REDFORD’S FINAL DAYS REVEALED: Hollywood Legend’s UNSTOPPABLE Thirst for Life and SHOCKING Drive EXPOSED—Insiders Stunned by His Secret Struggles, Unfinished Dreams, and Relentless Pursuit of Greatness! What Redford Did Before His Death Will Leave You SPEECHLESS—You WON’T Believe the Truth!

Screen idol Robert Redford went to his grave having fulfilled his dying wish of living life to the absolute fullest and never retiring from the profession he dearly loved — no matter how old or wizened he became, sources exclusively tell Globe.

The two-time Oscar winner reportedly died in his sleep at the age of 89 on Sept. 16 at his longtime home in Utah, and an insider says, “Bob was all about never giving in to advancing age. He knew in his heart that you get one shot at this life, and he wanted to keep pushing and pushing until his number was called.”

“It’s funny because he tried to retire back in 2018 — even announcing publicly that he was done. But he couldn’t help himself. He kept acting and taking scripts and overseeing [the] Sundance [Film Festival] and the [Sundance] Institute until the very end.”

“He remained tireless and passionate and completely engaged.”

The Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid star shared his philosophy on life on CBS Sunday Morning in 2018, saying: “To me, retirement means stopping something or quitting something. [But] there’s this life to lead, why not live it as much as you can as long as you can?”

The year before, the acclaimed Ordinary People director — who was born Charles Robert Redford Jr. on Aug. 18, 1936 — told Esquire U.K., “When I was young, I said to myself, ‘You’ve got to make the most of your life.’ It’s all about taking risks. Push yourself to do as much exploration as possible. Find yourself. Because sometimes we think we’ve found ourselves, but it’s only part of ourselves we’ve found.”

Redford kept acting until nearly the end of his life. Despite his announced retirement, he appeared in the AMC crime thriller Dark Winds earlier this year and also served as an executive producer on the series.

“Bob just had this amazing thirst for living and passion for cinema and storytelling that he could never quite shake, even when his body began to betray him,” the insider explains.

“He never stopped trying to get the very most out of this journey — he never stopped pushing.”

“He always felt like there was more to do and more to accomplish and explore. He was truly one of a kind.”
