Green Bay Packers Still Haven’t Made It to Arizona as Week 7 Nears – A Serious Plane Malfunction Has Occurred
Green Bay, Wisconsin – October 19, 2025
What was supposed to be a routine team flight turned into an aerial nightmare for the Green Bay Packers, as a major mechanical failure grounded their plane for nearly six hours just before their Week 7 showdown against the Arizona Cardinals.
According to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, the Packers’ players and coaching staff were left waiting in uncertainty after their plane—scheduled to depart at 1:30 p.m. CT—failed to take off due to a serious technical issue. While the staff plane departed on time at 1:15 p.m., the main flight carrying the players was held back for hours before the team ultimately switched to a different aircraft, finally departing around 7 p.m. CT for Phoenix.

The timing couldn’t have been worse. Running back Josh Jacobs and cornerback Keisean Nixon are both listed as questionable due to illness, raising concerns that extended confinement during the delay could worsen or spread sickness within the locker room.
“This is definitely not how you want to start a big weekend,” one team source told reporters. “Schedules got flipped, recovery windows were lost—everything had to be reworked on the fly.”
The team has yet to confirm their exact arrival time in Arizona, and there’s speculation that Saturday night’s delay could force them to shorten their pregame walkthrough before kickoff. Still, head coach Matt LaFleur remains optimistic, emphasizing that the Packers “will fight through anything, no matter the circumstances.”
With Week 7 fast approaching, the Packers aren’t just racing to face the Cardinals—they’re racing against time and a bit of bad luck in the skies.
