ST.Cory: I want to give everybody an update. Tuesday, Maya had Open-Heart Surgery( Fontan Procedure) & everything went well. I want to say thank you for all the prayers because they definitely were heard and answered. Right now we’re still in the recovery phase which has its own challenges, every time you think things are getting better. A new challenge arises, but we’ll just keep tackling them as they come. Maya’s a fighter and she’s got this But again perspective is everything!!

Quick story there’s this family that’s two doors down from us and their kid has a different condition than Maya, but long story short, two days ago their kid had a seizure & come to find out yesterday that now their sons brain was affected & he’ll be blind, it also effected the part of the brain for speech. As I got close to the Dad over the past couple of days he was always so positive & always found a way to keep a smile on his face. He told me this Bible verse & I was just in disbelief that he could still be this positive in such a dark time. So honestly, I just wanna ask that you all direct your prayers to the other families that are being affected in the children’s hospital as well A-lot of kids here their situations won’t really get better and you see that walking around the Children’s Hospital. And it’s sad. It just made me realize that l wanna do everything I can to help family’s out in these situations. So yeah, perspective is everything.

Hopefully sometime next week will be able to get out of the hospital and we’ll be home & I’m so thankful for that.
