On Friday, October 10, Mattie took to Instagram to share the emotional update with fans. The post featured a photo carousel of Mattie, Connor, their 1-year-old son Wesley, and the new baby’s ultrasound.
“The most amazing news we are beyond excited to share – our little wild angel is going to be a big brother! 👶🏻🤰🏻🥹,” she wrote joyfully.
Mattie revealed that their baby girl is due in February 2026, adding yet another beautiful chapter to the Jackson family’s story of faith, love, and healing.

Mattie and Connor welcomed their first child, Wesley Alan Smith, in June 2024. The name carries deep meaning — honoring both Alan Jackson and Connor’s late grandfather.
But Mattie’s path to this joy was not an easy one. In 2018, tragedy struck when her first husband, Ben Selecman, passed away unexpectedly, just three weeks before their first wedding anniversary.
Through grief, Mattie leaned on her faith and family to find strength. Her emotional journey inspired many as she wrote and spoke openly about the power of hope and God’s timing.

Three years later, life brought her a second chance at happiness when she met Connor Smith. The two married in May 2023, and less than a year later, they announced their first pregnancy.
