Mattie Jackson Announces A New Baby Is On The Way
Congratulations to Alan Jackson’s daughter, Mattie, as she is expecting her second child, and this time it’s a girl!
Mattie took to Instagram on Friday (October 10), to share the exciting news. She posted a photo carousel of her and her husband Connor Smith, along with their 1-year-old, Wesley, with baby girl’s ultrasound.
“The most amazing news we are beyond excited to share – our little wild angel is going to be a big brother! 👶🏻🤰🏻🥹,” Mattie wrote.
She shared that baby girl is set to arrive in February 2026.

Mattie & Connor Welcome Their First Child In 2024
In June 2024, Mattie and Connor welcomed their baby boy, Wesley Alan Smith. Wesley is named after the legendary Alan Jackson and also Connor’s grandfather.
Mattie’s first husband, Ben Selecman, died in 2018, just three weeks before their first wedding anniversary. After finding herself a young widow, Mattie shared how her faith helped her process her grief.
Three years later, she found the opportunity to love again when she met her now-husband, Connor. Shortly after making the announcement that they were expecting their son, Mattie shared her reflections on the delicate balance of joy and grief.
“To be honest, there’s part of me that’s always hesitant to share good news here, to post about these miraculous things in my life that are literal answers to years of tearful prayers. Because I know many of you are just there – in the tearful, waiting, wondering prayer place.”
