The ‘Apple’ doesn’t fall far from the tree
Nepo babies get a lot of bad press, and while some might use their family ties to get a leg up in their various fields, it seems that Steve Jobs’ daughter tends to keep something of a low profile – so much so, people are only just learning her name.
Would Brooklyn Beckham’s infamous photography book have taken off if not for his famous parents? Would Chet Hanks have been caught in the crossfire of so much public controversy if his parents weren’t Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson? And what about Saleka Night Shyamalan going viral for her ‘interesting’ acting in Trap?
Kids of the rich and famous are sometimes unfairly thrust into the spotlight, with Grimes calling out Elon Musk for parading their son around the White House.
Similarly, Vivian Wilson isn’t afraid of speaking about Musk claiming she ‘died’.

Following the tragic passing of Steve Jobs in 2011, his daughter has carved her own legacy away from that of the Apple co-founder. Taking to Instagram, Eve Jobs managed to break the internet in a luxe photo dump from her time at Milan Fashion Week. She attended with the luxury fashion house of Bottega Veneta and appeared to have front-row seats. In one snap, she’s even seen chatting with her husband and the legendary Anna Wintour.

Eve Jobs married British Olympic equestrian Harry Charles in a lavish Cotswolds wedding in July 2025, with this suitably A-list affair even including Kamala Harris, Chelsea football club owner Roman Abramovich, and Bruce Springsteen’s daughter, Jessica.
Jobs and Springsteen weren’t the only famous babies there, with Kourtney Kardashian supposedly jetting in, as well as Bill Gates’ daughter (Jennifer) making the cut. That wasn’t all, as the happy couple reportedly shelled out $1.3 million for an exclusive from Elton John.

Despite all of this, it seems many of you didn’t know who Eve Jobs was. Responding to the ‘reveal’ of her name, one person said: “Steve Jobs’ daughter’s name being Eve Jobs is honestly sooooo cute.”

A third concluded: “Wait, he made Apple and his daughter is Eve… and the bite was taken out of the apple. Nah, this man was different.”
Lisa Nicole Brennan-Jobs was born to Jobs and Chrisann Brennan in 1978, followed by one son and two more daughters to businesswoman Laurene Powell Jobs.
Jobs initially met Laurene Powell at the Stanford Graduate School of Business before marrying her in a 1991 Buddhist ceremony.
Eve Jobs is Steve Jobs’ youngest daughter, was born in 1998, and was confirmed as being named after the character in the Book of Genesis.

Following Steve Jobs’ death, Laurene Powell Jobs became one of the richest women in the world.
As for Eve Jobs, her striking looks haven’t gone unnoticed, appearing in a solo Vogue editorial and the cover of Vogue Japan, as well as a solo Louis Vuitton campaign.

People are only just realizing what ‘AM’ and ‘PM’ actually mean
It turns out one of the most common initialisms is a mystery to many
People on social media are only just now realizing that they don’t know what AM and PM actually means, and some of the guesses are hilariously off the mark.
Acronyms and initialisms are abundantly common in the English language, but it’s surprising how the meaning behind many is unknown to most people online.
Do you know what SCUBA stands for, or CAPTCHA? Even simple ones have confused people in the past, and the rise of modern online dialect means that you’re bound to miss the memo somewhere.

AM and PM – indicating the time before and after midday respectively – are some of the most common initialisms used by everyone around the world, but do you actually know what each letter stands for?
People on social media certainly didn’t, as Antoine Dinèro declared on X (formerly Twitter) fearing embarassment: “I might be called stupid after this but wtf does “AM” & “PM” stand for ??”

I might be called stupid after this but wtf does “AM” & “PM” Stand for ?? 🥴😭😂

The post has garnered over 21 million views on the platform in just over a week, and 4,600 people have chimed in with replies with more in the quotes as well.
The top reply hilariously gets it wrong by suggesting the answer to be “after midnight and past midnight,” which is just about incorrect in every single way once you sit down and think about it.
“Both of my parents would have said ‘look it up!’,” remarks one user in the replies, and another adds that “I don’t think you’re stupid for not knowing it, but I think you’re, at least, a lil stupid for not looking it up before you posted (shrug emoji).”
Like anything on social media though it’s proven to be a fantastic discussion starter that ends up being far more about the reaction than the answer itself.

Thankfully many users have come to the rescue with the right answer – ante meridiem and post meridiem – as the Latinate phrases can be translated to ‘before midday’ and ‘after midday’.

This confusion perhaps answers why so many favor the 24-hour clock (Alejandro Martinez Velez/Europa Press via Getty Images)
Much like BC and AD, the confusion here likely stems from the meaning not being in English so many end up looking for an answer that simply doesn’t exist in their native tongue.
You definitely shouldn’t feel too silly if you didn’t know it already as many have replied with their own AI chatbot screenshots, indicating that they required the assistance of AI or perhaps a search engine like Google to give themselves a leg up.

It might be something you can use to flex your knowledge or catch one of your friends out in the future though – just don’t let on where you got the right answer and pretend like you knew it all along!

People are shocked after only just realizing what ‘scuba’ actually stands for
Social media users have been left stunned
People have been left shocked after only just realizing what ‘scuba’ actually stands for.
While the first open-circuit scuba system was developed 100 years ago by Yves Le Prieur but it wasn’t until 1942 that the first successful and safe open-circuit scuba was designed by Jacques-Yves Cousteau and Emile Gagnan.
Cousteau was also an explorer who was a groundbreaker in his field, even discovering the mysterious 400 foot Great Blue Hole in the Caribbean Sea and bringing it to the world’s attention.

Since then, scuba has been a term people have associated with diving underwater.

However, social media users have been sent into a frenzy after finding out what the word actually means, with some not realizing that the word is an acronym.
It turns out that scuba actually stands for Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, to react to the revelation, one user wrote: “’Wow this is the very first time I’m seeing the meaning to scuba.”
Another said: “It was originally a technical term used by the military and engineers, but it became so widely used that it evolved into a regular word.”
The acronym was first coined by Major Christian J. Lambertsen in 1952, who was a medical researcher from Westfield, New Jersey. But this isn’t the only word that is secretly an acronym.
There are plenty of words we commonly use everyday without realizing their origins.

The word laser actually stands for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation while radar is short for Radio Detection and Ranging.
Since the word scuba has been popularized, Couseau’s grandson Fabien has followed in his footsteps.
Revisiting the giant hole in the sea first uncovered by his grandfather, Fabien decided to take on the feat of venturing down into the hole back in 2018.
Virgin boss Richard Branson joined him on the trip, which saw them traveling down in two submarines.

There, they made some incredible and rather disturbing discoveries.

Below 300 feet, the water was dark and lifeless but at the bottom, they uncovered some hidden secrets.
Along the bottom of the put was discarded trash, including a two liter plastic bottle.

There was also a lost GoPro which had some vacation photos captured on it.
However, another find was made that nobody expected.
Two bodies were uncovered lying on the seafloor.
These were the bodies of explorers who had gone missing on a previous expedition.
While the team along with Fabien and Branson made the decision that it was best to leave the corpses where they were, they did inform the Belize government.
