DALLAS, TX – October 17, 2025

Dak Prescott has made a career out of orchestrating comebacks on the field — but this week, the Dallas Cowboys quarterback made an even bigger one off it.

Just weeks before Veterans Day, Prescott donated eight fully customized smart homes to severely wounded U.S. veterans, deepening his long-time commitment to giving back to America’s heroes.

The donation, valued between $500,000 and $700,000 per home, was made through Prescott’s partnership with the Generosity Sports Foundation. Each home integrates adaptive smart technology specifically tailored for veterans who have lost limbs or sustained spinal or brain injuries during post-9/11 military service in Afghanistan, Iraq, and other operations abroad.

Homes Designed for Independence and Dignity

These are not just homes — they’re lifelines. Each property is equipped with:

Wheelchair-accessible hallways

Barrier-free layouts

Solar energy panels

Together, they provide wounded veterans with newfound independence, comfort, and security.

The homes are being built across Texas, Oklahoma, and Florida — regions with large communities of returning service members and families transitioning to civilian life.

Prescott: “Freedom Is a Gift”

During a moving dedication ceremony in Frisco, Texas, Prescott’s voice trembled as he addressed a crowd of veterans and their families.

“These heroes taught us what sacrifice really means,” Prescott said.
“Football is a privilege — freedom is a gift. Helping these veterans rebuild their lives is something far greater than any touchdown I’ll ever throw.”

A Legacy of Giving Back

Since 2022, Prescott’s initiative has provided more than 90 homes nationwide — along with financial aid, vehicle grants, and mental health programs for veterans adjusting to civilian life.

It’s a mission rooted in gratitude and service — one that continues to grow year after year.

Leadership On and Off the Field

Prescott’s leadership extends far beyond the sidelines.
Through six games this season, he’s completed 164 of 229 passes (71.6%) for 1,617 yards, 13 touchdowns, and only 3 interceptions, boasting a 104.6 passer rating — among the NFL’s top 10 quarterbacks.

He’s also contributed 48 rushing yards and a touchdown, proving his dual-threat ability remains intact.

Highlights include:

  • Week 2 vs. Giants: 319 yards, 4 TDs in an OT thrillerGiants team apparel

Week 5 vs. Jets: 261 yards, 3 TDs in a 37–22 victory

Week 6 vs. Panthers: 3 TDs in a narrow 30–27 loss

Despite the Cowboys’ 2-3-1 record, Prescott continues to serve as the team’s steady heartbeat — keeping Dallas competitive amid defensive inconsistencies and injuries.

Coach McCarthy on Prescott: “It’s Legacy Work”

Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy praised Prescott’s impact both as a player and a person.

“Dak represents everything this organization stands for — leadership, toughness, and compassion,” McCarthy said.
“What he’s doing for these veterans goes beyond football. It’s legacy work.”

Beyond the Game

As Veterans Day nears, Prescott’s generosity stands as a powerful reminder that greatness isn’t just measured in touchdowns, stats, or victories — but in lives changed. For Dak Prescott, leadership isn’t just something he shows on Sundays — it’s who he is, every single day.
