Phxt “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!” Furious Fans Launch Nationwide Push to Replace Bad Bunny With Country Legend at Super Bowl 60 Halftime Show

The heat regarding Bad Bunny being announced as the performer for the Super Bowl continues to simmer.
Because of his selection, some NFL fans are pushing to “boycott” the Super Bowl 60 Halftime Show. Others are taking it even further.
Bunny, who is coming off a month-long residency in Puerto Rico, will lead the halftime festivities from Levi’s Stadium on Feb. 8 in Santa Clara, California.
Soon after his announcement, a petition was launched to replace him. “Replace bad bunny in the Superbowl halftime show” has over 10,280 signatures as of this writing.
That is just the first of many.
Fans Want George Strait To Replace Bad Bunny
Some country fans believed George Strait would get the nod and take the stage at the Super Bowl in 2026. Their disappointment has led to actions being taken.
A new petition wants Strait to replace Bunny immediately. The petition was launched on change.org.
“Replace Bad Bunny with George Strait for the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show,” it reads.
“The Super Bowl halftime show is one of the most watched music performances worldwide, celebrating not just the sport but the cultural tapestry of America. In recent years, this performance has leaned increasingly towards modern pop and international artists. While this approach certainly broadens the audience, it’s pivotal to remember the roots that have made American music what it is today,” the petition states.
“George Strait, known as the ‘King of Country,’ embodies the heart and soul of American music. With over 60 No. 1 hits and more than 40 years in the music industry, George Strait is not only a legend in the country music genre but a staple in American musical history. His ability to transcend generations with his timeless songs resonates with a diverse demographic, welcoming both long-time fans and newcomers.
“The 2026 Super Bowl offers a unique opportunity to pay tribute to American music’s rich heritage by featuring George Strait in its halftime show. His performances are known for their authenticity and raw emotion, qualities that are crucial as we aim to unite fans from coast to coast.
“The Super Bowl halftime show should unite our country, honor American culture, and remain family-friendly, not be turned into a political stunt. Bad Bunny represents none of these values; his drag performances and style are the opposite of what families expect on football’s biggest stage. Again, George Strait embodies unity, tradition, and the timeless American music that truly deserves the 2026 Super Bowl spotlight.
“Join us in urging the NFL and related decision-makers to honor American music heritage by selecting George Strait for the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show. Sign this petition to make your voice heard and support a halftime performance that celebrates the legacy of American country music.”
The NFL will still be having Bad Bunny performing at halftime of Super Bowl 60 in Santa Clara, California, but there will now be an unsanctioned alternate performance for fans who do not wish to see it.
Turning Point USA, the conservative politics non-profit that the late Charlie Kirk co-founded, confirmed that it will put on an ‘All-American Halftime Show’ to counter the Bad Bunny-led Super Bowl halftime show.
Their halftime show came as the NFL faced massive online backlash after announcing him as their star performer for the 2026 Super Bowl.
Even Hall of Fame running back Eric Dickerson hates the move, as he claimed he “never heard” of the global superstar, but made it clear that he could return to Puerto Rico if he didn’t like the United States.
