Gigi Hadid just made her mark on another Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway.On Wednesday, Oct. 15, the 30-year-old model made a show-stopping appearance at the 2025 show, which took place in New York City on Wednesday, Oct. 15. or her first moment, she took over the runway in a head-turning, dazzling all-pink ensemble. The look featured a two-piece lingerie set with a sparkly bustier and lacy boy briefs. But it was her sprawling cape, embellished with 3D rose petals, that took over the runway. She teamed the look with ankle strap stilettos.

Her hair was pinned back as side-swept bangs framed a portion of her face. She wrapped with a flirty moment as she blew a kiss to the crowd, strutting off the runway, giving fans one last glimpse at her shawl that trailed behind. At last year’s event, Hadid opened the show wearing a pink look consisting of a belted, silky one-piece with short shorts and plunging neckline. Her cropped blonde hair was slicked back, and the ensemble was accessorized with oversize diamond hoop earrings, gladiator-style heels and, of course, a pink pair of wings.

A verse from the INXS hit “Never Tear Us Apart” played as Hadid walked, with the lyric, “We all have wings but some of us don’t know why,” hitting extra hard.”We are back,” the screen read, before Hadid descended back into the runway.

In May, the brand had announced the return of the runway show. “We’ve read the comments and heard you,” an Instagram caption read. “The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is ✨ BACK ✨ and will reflect who we are today, plus everything you know and love—the glamour, runway, wings, musical entertainment, and more! Stay tuned…it only gets more iconic from here. 🪽”

Hadid revealed she would be returning for the 2025 runway show on Friday, Oct. 10In a video shared to Instagram, the model recalled landing her Victoria’s Secret debut in 2015. “I think I tried out two or three times before I got it, so you can imagine when I felt when I got my first show,” she says.

Hadid then became emotional, tears filling her eyes as she added, “I’m just so happy for her. She just wanted it so bad… I look back at pictures of that time, and the world was so hard on her, and not just me, is hard on girls.”The model continued, “And then you look back at pictures and you’re like, ‘I was the s—.’ That was an awesome time. I deserved to be there. I continue to come back to this show just so happy for that girl that got the first show and then also my teenage self who just watched the show.”

In 2015, Hadid spoke out about the scrutiny over her body that she received around her Fashion Week appearances at the time and Victoria’s Secret debut. In a text post shared to Instagram at the time, she wrote, “No, I don’t have the same body type as other models in shows. No, I don’t think I’m the best at any given shows. She continued, “You can make up all the reasons you think I am where I am, but really, I’m a hard worker that’s confident in myself, one that came at a time where the fashion industry was ready for a change.”

Hadid added that while her body type “wasn’t accepted in high-fashion before,” but the industry can “never stay the same.”

Following her Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show debut in 2015, Hadid appeared in the 2016 show in Paris. The model missed the 2017 show but returned in 2018 alongside her sister Bella.
