Teddi Mellencamp Shares Uplifting Health Update: “No Evidence of Cancer” After Stage 4 Diagnosis
Teddi Mellencamp is offering an encouraging update on her ongoing battle with cancer.
The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star revealed that the Stage 4 melanoma she was diagnosed with — a condition doctors once warned gave her just a 50/50 chance of survival — has now shown “no evidence of cancer.”

“Just wanted to give a little life update,” Teddi shared on the October 3rd episode of her podcast Two T’s in a Pod. “I had my immunotherapy treatment yesterday and went in for scans — and as of now, there’s no cancer detected.”
Podcast guest Dolores Catania, who joined the episode to recap the latest installment of The Real Housewives of Orange County, reacted with pure joy.
“Oh my God, I’m so happy!” exclaimed the Real Housewives of New Jersey star. “Where do I even go from here? This episode is ruined for me!”
“I wish I could hug you,” she added. “I love you. Thank you for telling me that. It’s making me emotional.”
Teddi — who shares Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and Dove, 5, with estranged husband Edwin Arroyave — went on to describe the overwhelming feeling of hearing her scan results.

“When they told me, I was just in shock,” she said. “I was speechless.”
While the news is certainly cause for celebration, the 44-year-old cautioned that she’s not completely out of the woods.
“In the way they explain it, it’s like — one year, then two years, then three years — and then you’re allowed to say you’re officially in remission,” she recalled. “So, yesterday was definitely a big deal.”

Teddi has previously spoken about how fighting cancer forced her to confront her own mortality.
“I don’t think people understand the extreme pain I’m in at times,” she told ET in April, choking up as she reflected on the thought of leaving her children without a mother. “It’s truly terrifying. My kids are still so young.”
