bv. New MAFS trailer teases most chaotic season yet scandal

Nine’s flagship dating show has dropped its raunchiest trailer yet, featuring scenes that make last season’s controversial moments look tame.
The teaser trailer for the new season of Married At First Sight Australia was released last night – and, if the footage is anything to go by, viewers are set for the most chaotic season yet.
Unveiled at Nine’s annual Upfronts event in Sydney on Wednesday night, the trailer is scattered with shocking scenes. From blindfolded brides to brides in barely-there lingerie, and bust-ups at the dinner parties to brutal betrayals – this season packs a punch.
“A sprinkle of drama. Nine’s love juggernaut is back next year,” says a voiceover as the clip unfolds.

The trailer then cuts to a montage of what viewers can expect next year before the biggest shock of all unfolds when one bride drops this bombshell on her groom:
“I’m really, really sorry… I don’t think I can marry you,” she tells him at the altar.

While viewers are still left digesting that scene, they are shown another couple’s X-rated bedroom tryst. Cameras had front-row seats as one groom and his lingerie-wearing bride passionately kissed on the bed. The groom then proceeds to take the gather off her thigh, naturally with his mouth.

Down the hall, another lingerie tryst was underway as one bride was seen resembling a Playboy bunny in her get-up.
It seems these scenes are part of Intimacy Week the couples must partake in each season – a week designed to raise the heat between the couples who have been blindly matched on the social experiment.

Last season drew some gasps from even the most diehard fans that complaints were lodged with Australia’s broadcast watchdog after sex-fuelled scenes aired on the show.
Some contestants even revealed to news.com.au that they’ve been left publicly humiliated by the racy “Pornhub” footage that aired at the family-friendly prime-time slot of 7.30pm.
“I feel incredibly uncomfortable with what has gone to air,” one of the show’s female contestants told us following an episode that showed full-body shots of her dressed in revealing lingerie.
“My mum’s pretty uncomfortable about having had to watch it. It aired on national TV and it feels pretty disgusting.”

One contestant stripped down to barely-there underwear while positioned in sexual poses, while another wife was licking chocolate off her on-screen husband’s nipple.
“I always assumed that they wouldn’t put anything on-air that’s not appropriate for TV,” the anonymous bride said. “There’s a presumption that, if things cross the line, it won’t go to air.”
The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) told news.com.au at the time that it received various complaints, with members of the public “expressing concern about inappropriate content”.

Resident MAFS sexpert Alessandra Rampolla tasked the female contestants with crafting their “ultimate fantasy night”. But the female contestants who got near-nude “were acting in the assumption that nothing inappropriate would be shown”.
After watching that episode last year, former MAFS contestant Selina Chhaur, who now hosts the Back To Reality podcast, said this choc-nip stunt left her stunned.
“That was so sexual,” she said. “I felt like I was watching Fifty Shades of Grey.”
Selina said, in her own experience on the series, “producers technically don’t force you to do anything”.
“You can say no!” she said. “You would not catch (me) in lingerie doing what they did this year.”
