This has been a nice couple of days for San Francisco 49ers fans. Not only did their squad take care of business against the hated Los Angeles Rams on Thursday Night Football (and did so while incredibly injured) but the other two teams in the NFC West also lost their games in Week 5.

The Seahawks narrowly lost to the Buccaneers, dropping them to 3-2 and giving the Niners even more cushion in the competitive NFC West. The Cardinals, meanwhile, had the funniest moment of the weekend, at least for the 49ers faithful.
The Cardinals, up 21-6 at home in the fourth quarter against an atrocious Titans team, managed to lose that game 22-21. Yup, you read that right. The Cardinals blew a two-possession lead to the worst team in football and did it within the final quarter of action.

49ers fans can’t stop laughing at Cardinals’ epic collapse vs. Titans
To make things even funnier, one of the Titans’ touchdowns that helped them come back and win the game happened after a Cardinals player picked off Cam Ward. The defender fumbled the pick and the Titans then went on to recover it in the end zone, bringing them to within two points. Absolute hilaritity.
This is obviously funny because the Cardinals are division rivals but it makes the 49ers’ lead at the top of the division even greater. The Cardinals could have been 3-2 if they could have just held on and won the game but now they’re 2-3 and in the basement of the NFC West. Arizona should have had another touchdown on the day as well but Emari Demercado fumbled the football right before he walked into the end zone. That’s what started the unraveling of the Cardinals.

The 49ers, meanwhile, are 4-1 and while they’re beat up with injuries, we’ve seen what the alternative option could be and that’s the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals are 2-3 after blowing a massive lead to the worst team in the league and don’t appear to be heading toward a promising future.
This was just a truly great weekend for 49ers fans, as their team won, beat one of their hated foes, and watched the other two teams in the division lose their games as well. The Seahawks lost a close one while the Cardinals blew a massive lead. Pure entertainment and 49ers fans hope the humor keeps on coming.
