The 49ers could desperately use all hands on deck with the number of injuries they have had, but Brandon Aiyuk does not seem like someone they can depend on.

It does not appear Aiyuk will make his return to the field for the 49ers any time soon.

Aiyuk has been on the PUP list to start the season following his significant knee injury last year and was eligible to return after Week 4.

Unfortunately, last month, San Francisco GM John Lynch said Brandon Aiyuk was “not close” to returning.

Now, there is more potential drama brewing with wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk.

The latest update on him concerns his social media activity, which has fans nervous. He’s unfollowed the team on his Instagram account and removed all 49ers references.

The 49ers must regret signing Aiyuk to a big contract extension following the 2023 season, because now it seems that he wants out of the organization now that they need him the most.

Trade Proposals For Brandon Aiyuk

The San Francisco 49ers have a clear need at edge rusher after losing Nick Bosa for the remainder of the season to a torn ACL. However, they could also use receiver help.

To get that, they may want to think about trading Aiyuk.

One fascinating trade proposal involved the San Francisco 49ers swapping Brandon Aiyuk for Washington Commanders superstar wideout Terry McLaurin. Unfortunately for them, they waited too long, and the wideout ended up getting the contract he wanted.

Aiyuk posted 25 receptions for 374 yards and no touchdowns over seven games last season.
