AT. Country Star Luke Bryan Says He’s ‘Having a Blast’ Raising a Bigger Family Than He Ever Expected

In the world of country music, Luke Bryan is one of the best and brightest stars. His work as a singer, songwriter and performer has put him on top countless times on the charts and at award shows. With songs such as “Play It Again,” “Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day” and “Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye,” it’s easy to see why Bryan is a favorite among both fans and critics.

Bryan was born Thomas Luther Bryan on July 17, 1976, in Leesburg, Georgia. He had plans of moving to Nashville when he was 19 years old, but those plans were put to the side when his family needed him following a tragic event. Instead, Bryan stayed in Georgia and attended college in Statesboro, graduating with a degree in business administration in 1999. Bryan finally moved to Nashville two years later and found success writing songs for other artists before going on to become a country music star in his own right.

Today, many people know Bryan for being extremely down-to-earth and energetic, making him loved both on and off the stage. On top of that, he is also putting his musical knowledge to good use by helping aspiring singers on the competition show “American Idol” – a show that Bryan has been a judge on since 2018 alongside Lionel Richie and Katy Perry.

When he’s not busy working, Bryan enjoys spending time with his family. However, his family has a unique story, as Bryan has biological children but is also raising some of his family members. Read on to find out more about his beautiful, blended family.

Bryan has been at the top of his game for several years now, winning countless awards and releasing plenty of new music to keep his fans happy and excited. Back in 2015, Bryan talked with People about how revolutionary that year, in particular, was for his career. “I’m truly having a blast,” he said. “I feel like with each year, another little bit of pressure is off to prove yourself on a daily basis. It’s pretty crazy stuff to get to do what I do, and I try not to take a second for granted.”

However, Bryan’s personal life also changed a lot around the same time. In 2007, Bryan’s sister Kelly died unexpectedly of unknown causes. Bryan had previously lost his older brother, Chris after he died unexpectedly in a car accident. According to People, Bryan was met with yet another hardship in 2014, when Kelly’s husband Ben Lee Chesire suddenly died.

As a country music singer and songwriter, it was natural for Bryan to pour his heart out into his work and use music as a way to grieve. Chris Stapleton, another country music star, penned the song “Drink a Beer” for Bryan as a way to pay tribute to Bryan’s late brother and sister.

While Bryan was heartbroken after going through so many hardships, he stayed strong for his late sister and brother-in-law’s children. Along with his wife Caroline, Bryan stepped up and did what he needed to in order to help care for his children – Bo and Tate – as well as Kelly and Chesire’s children – Til, Kris and Jordan.
