3S. UPDATE: FSU Freshman Ethan Pritchard Receives Letter from President Trump After Shooting

Florida State freshman linebacker Ethan Pritchard continues to fight and make progress after being shot in the head on August 31 in what police believe was a case of mistaken identity.

The true freshman is now breathing on his own and has begun moving his head and arms, showing remarkable signs of recovery.

On Wednesday, President Donald Trump and Melania Trump sent a letter to Pritchard and his family, writing in part:

“Your courage reflects the power of the human spirit, and your tenacity is an inspiration to so many… Our thoughts and prayers will remain with you and your entire family. Stay strong!”

FSU coach Mike Norvell continues to visit and receive updates from Pritchard’s family, calling his recovery “a true miracle.”

A GoFundMe to help with medical expenses has now raised nearly $145,000 from over 1,800 supporters.
